Senior Consultants
Every church is assigned a consultant as their "point person," whose specific spiritual gifts and talents have afforded them extensive experience in managing capital stewardship campaigns in local churches.
Richard A. Beall
Dick first became part of the CGS team in 1993. He brings a rich, multifaceted background to his clients. He has more than 30 years of experience assisting boards, staff and volunteers in non-profit management, leadership and capital development. A graduate of Indiana University with a B.S. degree in business administration and an M.S. degree in education (counseling emphasis), Dick has also taught as an adjunct faculty member at a Christian college for more than 15 years. Having served as executive director of large non-profit organizations, Dick knows how to build a strong team of highly motivated volunteers. He has personally served, twice, as the volunteer general chair at his home church, raising almost 6 million dollars. Dick is called upon for a special role on the CGS consulting team in areas of organizational analysis, congregational interviewing, focus groups and strategic campaign planning.
William D. Walter
Bill joined the CGS team in 1973 after a brief career running a small business and as a high school mathematics teacher. Since joining the firm, he has had direct implementation in more than 140 capital campaigns in local churches. A graduate of Penn State University with a B.S. degree in mathematics, he also holds the designation of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER. Bill has also served as volunteer general chair of multiple capital campaigns in his home church, affording a view from the "trenches." Bill brings the CGS team the analytical skills to assist client churches in the areas of financial planning, cash flow projections, capital budgeting and tax-wise giving techniques.
